I have always been drawn to places where something real is unfolding. The anticipation before a performance. The shift in energy before a decisive moment in sport. The quiet details in a film that tell you more than the dialogue ever could.

Sport taught me to anticipate. Theatre taught me how a scene is constructed. Film taught me that atmosphere often lives at the edge of the frame. Together, they shaped the way I photograph weddings: watching closely, reading the room and noticing the relationships, reactions and fleeting moments surrounding the obvious ones.

I photographed my first wedding in 2018. Since then, my work has taken me from intimate ceremonies to celebrations across the UK and abroad. Alongside weddings, I have photographed for names including Jaguar, Jack Daniel’s and Ted Baker. That experience sharpened my eye for detail and taught me to remain composed when expectations are high, but weddings are where that discipline becomes deeply personal.

A serious knee injury kept me away from weddings for more than a year. The time apart gave me unexpected clarity. What I missed was not simply making photographs. I missed the people, the energy and the privilege of being trusted with a day that cannot be repeated.

That is why I take calmness seriously.

When plans change, I do not add to the noise. I help where I can, offer direction when it is useful and step back when the moment already has everything it needs. Couples have told me they forgot I was holding a camera. At one wedding, the guests assumed I was simply one of their friends who happened to be taking photographs. I cannot think of a better compliment.

Away from weddings, I am usually somewhere between American football, a cinema screen and the gym. I am naturally curious, quietly competitive and probably incapable of watching a scene without noticing the light.

The photographs matter deeply to me, but never more than your experience of the day itself. I want you to feel comfortable in my company, confident that everything important is being noticed, and free to remain inside the celebration you worked so hard to create.

The planning can be meticulous. Your experience should still feel natural.

I work closely with your planner and creative team, agreeing on photography priorities, access and timings in advance so the images honour both the people and the celebration they have created.

We agree time for portraits and important details in advance, leaving you free to enjoy the celebration. When direction is helpful, I keep it calm, clear and comfortable.

Before the wedding, I take time to understand your plans, priorities and the people who matter most. We consider the timeline, family photographs and anything requiring particular care, so you can enter the day knowing the important details have already been thought through.

I work naturally among your guests, quietly anticipating moments without drawing attention to the camera. When direction is helpful, I keep it clear, relaxed and efficient, allowing you to return to the celebration rather than spending long periods away from it.

The Process

01 THE FIRST CONVERSATION We begin with a relaxed conversation about the celebration you are creating, the people involved and how you want the day to feel. It is an opportunity to ask questions, explore the right coverage and see whether my approach feels right for you.

02 Planning the photography Once booked, focused questionnaires and a planning consultation help me understand your priorities without adding hours of unnecessary homework. Together, we consider the timeline, important relationships, family photographs and any details requiring particular care.

03 LIVING IT When the wedding arrives, your only responsibility is to experience it. I work around the natural rhythm of the day, offering direction when it is useful and quietly documenting everything unfolding around you.

04 RETURNING TO IT Within 24 hours, you will receive a first selection of photographs to relive and share. Your complete gallery follows within 12 weeks, bringing together the moments you remember and those you never knew were happening.

A STORY MADE TO BE HELD

Your gallery preserves the celebration as it unfolded: the moments you remember, the ones you missed and the people who gave the day its meaning. An album brings that complete story together in a form made to be revisited.

Albums are available as an optional addition after your complete gallery has been delivered. There is nothing to decide before the wedding. I design each spread with you, allowing the photographs, atmosphere and relationships to shape the pace of the story.

Handcrafted by Henley Albums, each book features archival printing, substantial lay-flat pages and your choice of leather, linen or suede, before being presented in a protective keepsake box.
