What does a wedding photography package include?

Short answer: a wedding photography package should tell you the hours of coverage, how many photographers shoot, how many edited photos you get, when you get them, and what you are allowed to do with them. Anything left vague is worth asking about before you book.

How many hours of coverage are included?

Check where coverage starts and ends. Full-day coverage should run from preparations into the evening, rather than stopping after the speeches. If you are unsure how much time you need, our guide to how many hours of wedding photography you need walks through it.

How many photographers are included?

Some packages cover one photographer and charge extra for a second. Studio Williams includes two photographers as standard, which gives you two angles on the same moment and coverage of things happening in different parts of the room. For more on this, read whether you need a second photographer.

How many edited photos will we get?

Ask for a number or a range, and ask whether every photo is fully edited. At Studio Williams the private online gallery typically holds 500 to 800 fully edited photographs. A range is more honest than a promise of an exact count, because the number depends on the day.

When do we get the photos?

Ask for dates. A preview collection arrives within 24 hours here, and the complete gallery within 12 weeks. See how long it takes to get wedding photos back for what is normal.

Can we download and print them?

You should get high-resolution files and the right to print them yourself. Here that means high-resolution and web-size downloads with personal printing rights. Who owns your wedding photos, and can you print them? explains the difference between owning the copyright and having printing rights.

What planning help comes with it?

Good packages include a conversation before the day. A personal pre-wedding consultation and timeline guidance are part of the Studio Williams full-day collection, and our post on building a wedding day timeline shows why that matters.

What about travel and extras?

Travel throughout mainland UK is included. If overnight accommodation, flights or other travel are needed, they are written into your proposal. Optional additions include a third photographer (£400), a pre-wedding shoot (£600) and a heirloom album (from £500). If you are weighing the album, read is a wedding album worth it?

What does it cost?

Full-day collections from Studio Williams start at £3,500. The investment page lists everything above, and our UK wedding photographer cost guide explains what you are paying for in general.
