Grange Barn Wedding: Mollie & John
Mollie and John were married at Grange Barn on 10 October 2026, a restored farm barn in the Cheshire countryside near Marbury, close to the Shropshire border. I photographed the day from the morning preparations through to the evening party, and it was relaxed from the first hour to the last.
A rustic barn in the Cheshire countryside
Grange Barn is an old farm barn restored into a charming, rustic venue, run by a family who wanted somewhere relaxed and personal rather than a wedding conveyor belt. It sits in rolling countryside near Whitchurch, and the whole day happens in one place, from getting ready through to the last dance.
Mollie and John’s day
The morning started with the dress hanging on the old barn door and the happy chaos of preparations. Their ceremony was full of personality, and the confetti outside afterwards was one of my favourite moments of the year. From there the day settled into drinks, speeches and an evening party that carried on into the night.
Grange Barn wedding photography
A barn like this suits a documentary approach. Most of the day I work quietly in the background, letting things happen, with a short pocket of time for relaxed portraits and the family group photographs you actually want. The barn, the gardens and the autumn light do most of the work.
I photograph weddings across Cheshire and Greater Manchester. You can see more of my approach as a Cheshire wedding photographer and my Manchester wedding photography on the site. If you are planning a wedding at Grange Barn or anywhere in Cheshire, I would love to hear about your plans. Full day from £3,500. Get in touch.
