How to Go Through Your Wedding Gallery
Short answer: don't try to do it all in one evening. Look through your wedding gallery once for the feeling, once for favourites, then back everything up and decide what to print. A little order makes a few hundred photos far easier to enjoy.
First pass: just enjoy it
Put the kettle on, sit down together and scroll through without a plan. Don't judge or edit anything. You are seeing the day from outside for the first time, and that is the point. Many couples are surprised by moments they did not see happen.
Second pass: mark your favourites
Come back a few days later and pick the ones you love. A simple shortlist is enough. It helps for albums, wall prints and sharing with family. If you are still deciding on an album, read whether a wedding album is worth it.
Back everything up straight away
When you download your photos, keep copies in at least two places, for example a computer and an external drive or cloud storage. It takes ten minutes and protects the one set of photos you cannot recreate.
Share in stages
You do not need to post the whole gallery. A handful of favourites for family and friends is plenty, and it means the full set stays special. If you have asked guests to stay off their phones, our piece on unplugged ceremonies explains why.
Printing
Check what rights come with your photos before you print. Our guide to who owns your wedding photos and whether you can print them covers the usual points. For a Studio Williams wedding, you receive high-resolution downloads with personal printing rights.
How many photos to expect
With a full day, a gallery is typically 500 to 800 edited photos, delivered within 12 weeks, after a preview within 24 hours. For more detail see how many photos you get from a wedding photographer.
Full-day collections from Studio Williams start at £3,500 and include two photographers as standard. If you would like to check availability for your date, you can get in touch here.
